Talking about my life in ICAT gives me a big smile on my face. I never felt a typical college kind of environment there. It was more of fun along with studies. It was very much balanced.
The kind of training we got from this college was really superb. I am proud to be part of the family. ICAT made sure that we all get really good training from vfx professionals. Needless to say it really helped us and gave a real picture of what exactly happens in the industry. After the course the management made it a point that we all get placed and they were 100% successful in it.
Effort really paid off!!!! The training and my skills gave me a good job in TATA ELXSI, Mumbai (Thanks to ICAT).Later on I had moved to Anibrain, Reliance media works and curently working as a Team Leader in Technicolor.
Working with such big companies gave me an opportunity to work on great flicks like Spiderman -3, Indiana Jones, Iron man,Dhoom-2, Pirates of the Carribean, Jodha Akbar, Red Cliff, Amelia, Invictus, Conan, Spartcus blood and sand etc.
Wishing ICAT all the best and success for another 100 years.

After the completion of B.B.A., I planed to pursue MBA abroad. I had interest in multimedia from my childhood and was searching for a good place, then I came across an advertisement of ICAT and spoke to my dad. In the beginning he was not interested later I convinced him, and he enquired about ICAT in one of the visual effects company in Chennai - in which he was working. They gave us a good response about the college, and I joined this college to pursue Post Graduate Diploma in Visual Effect.
Now I am working with Reliance Media Works (An Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group) for the past 3 successful years as a compositor in Mumbai. Worked in all major Bollywood movies and South Indian movies too. I joined RMW without any support of my dad and through my own, that happened because of good training from ICAT. So I thank all the staff of ICAT whole heartedly.

After completing my under graduation in Business Administration(BBA) , I wanted to do my post graduation in Visual effects, but i was in a dilemma as to where should i join. Finally I decided to join Icat because it is the only 'College' ,unlike other institutes ,which provides such an elaborate curriculum with in a short period of 1year . It has been a exciting experience in Icat having got the opportunity to try and experience various techniques used in film making. You have a great opportunity in Icat its up to you to utilize the maximum and get the best out of it. I should really thank the Placement cell for their outstanding support through out ,which helped me to grab an opportunity to be a part of one of the global player in VFX, Prime Focus as production coordinator. The placement cell always makes sure you gets the right opportunity. Altogether it was fun!.. go experience yourself !

I am Avish John. I was a student of ICAT during the year 2009-2010..I completed my under graduation in Computer Science and engineering. But I was keen on taking up a career in Visual Arts.. Scouring through the internet for a PG course I found ICAT.. Owing to my love for art and technology, I chose a PG diploma in Visual Effects.. We had classes covering a wide variety of subjects like fundamentals of art and design, direction, script writing, cinematography and visual effects. Teachers were very supportive and knowledgeable. Emphasize was more on the art than the tools.. We were given assignments that gave us a chance to apply our knowledge to create something on our own. We had a very good studio set up that enabled us to shoot our own footage for our show reels. We were provided with lot of placement opportunities.. We were trained in soft skills aimed at making us ready for interviews. I got placed at Rhythm & Hues Studios, Hyderabad as a BG prep/Rotoscopy TD. I am happy with my work and I am thankful to ICAT for taking me through this long journey.

I have done my B.Sc(Math) is Madurai Kamaraj University. I was working as a still photographer at Madurai. I came to know ICAT through a friend of mine when I expressed my internet in doing a professional course in VFX. The content taught at ICAT was elaborate when compared to other institutions. And it was good to do a full time course than doing a part time (2or3hrs) course in an institute. Here we are able to learn from the industry professionals who come as guest lecturers. As a still photographer, I was interested in getting into media. Was always interested in films mainly. ICAT really helped me to hone my skills and also choose the right part. Through ICAT placements, I was exposed to well known companies in India. The department supported us till we got a job placement. Brand – ICAT has made us stand out in the crowd and we are given preference when compared to students from other institutes. At Pixion Chennai – I’m working as roto paint artist. I’m able to learn a lot here. Joined for Roto but I’m allowed to work in compositing and tracking too. I would like to help my juniors in guiding them with their projects and would like to give them inputs on the current trends in the industry. I was a part of Bollywood projects namely Luck by Chance and Victory which have been released in theatres. Currently working in hindi and kannada projects. Team- lead is happy with my out puts. VFX students should not only concentrate in Roto but also other areas like paint, tracking and compositing for entering into this industry.

I had a great experience pursuing the Post graduate Diploma course in visual effects at ICAT. My interest in computer games attracted me towards this industry. After completing my B.Tech, I started looking for best animation colleges in India. After googling in internet I found “ICAT”.
ICAT was one of the animation colleges brought to my attention because it fit the criteria of what I was looking for in an animation college, like campus with best facilities and better placement. ICAT curriculum is one of the best I would say, as it integrates art and technology according to industry standards.
I highly recommend ICAT for students and other professionals looking for a way to expand their creativity and experience in the field of animation, gaming and visual effects.

When I graduated from Visual Communication, I was satisfied that the course was enjoyable but I felt one among the herd and didn't have an identity through my talent. I wanted to join a course that could educate me on my thirst for Live action and Computer graphics and that's how I got into ICAT. Our college trained us in extra skills in film making which one won't even know the importance until entering a production house and brought technicians from the film world. All these made most of us learn the practical aspects of producing a world class movie in terms of uality. I still maintain excellent rapport with my college and I remember the days spent there... colourful in my mind...

I started my career in Interior Design, then moved to 2D Animation but finally quit my job and joined ICAT for VFX as I could sense the huge scope for VFX and Animation professionals. It was a tough decision to make as my father initially objected to quit and study full time at ICAT but once I made him understood the scope, the decision was easy. I certainly suggest the need for doing full time program as there is ample time for understanding the foundation thoroughly which is a boon at work place...
