Course Overview
As one of the first PG Diploma course on Instructional Designing offered through regular mode, this course provides a wide knowledge on the nuances of creating an effective training material. It enables the learners to design an effective training material and obtain the required performance result from their audience. It teaches both theoretical and practical aspects of ID theories, models, strategies, and so on. It imparts knowledge on working with the widely used rapid e-learning tools and other ID related tools, using which the learners can create their own training material without any external support. It improves the grammatical skills, writing skills, and all that required for a successful Instructional Designer. In addition to all the ID skills imparted through this training, it acquaints the learner to basic Managerial skills that help the learner move up in an organization ladder.
TheOn the whole, this course provides all the practical knowledge that an ID would require to survive and prove successful in this competitive world. Any student pursuing this course would not require any further ID training from their hiring organizations, which increases the opportunities for ICAT students and places them first in the run.

This subject trains the learner in using the most commonly used tools and software in the field of Instructional Designing. It demonstrates how to use various advanced and effective features of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel that ease and support the job of IDs. It also explains how to use various Image Capturing, Image Editing, and Audio Editing tools that supports the work of an ID. It teaches how to use the commonly used rapid e-learning tools. It also introduces the learner to version management software.

- How to use various important features of PowerPoint, such as embedding audio, synching it with the custom animation

Given a topic to teach and the audience to be focused; the learner would be required to develop an effective learning material in suitable mode of learning. This would involve creation of all the required documents.
The project work will also require the learner to create a course material by using a suitable rapid e-learning tool.
