This year at NASSCOM 2007, a new chapter was written in the glorious pages of Indian Animation, that of encouraging and heralding original content creation in Indian Animation.
The event was contested by 30 Indian companies and individuals. NASSCOM created the event for providing a platform for Indian animation companies and animators a chance to show case their talents directly to potential buyers at the highest level.
ICAT's production team won the prestigious award for 2007 for its original animated content “Banzi”. The pitch was made by Mr. V.Natarajan (Chief Academic officer of ICAT) and Mr. Anjan Cariappa (Creative Director of Banzi).

Jury's reasons for selecting Banzi by ICAT:
The original story line, local relevance of the characters, use of vivid colors helped to bring out the concept in a more definitive manner. The jury also felt that the “Bang on” character development would lend a great deal of scope for funny, witty dialogue even at the same time provide for drama and emotion.
