ICAT Design & Media College is hosting its inter-college cultural fest MIRAKI '18 on 23rd February 2018. The festival comprises of various events like dance, music and other cultural activities.

MIRAKI '18 is a talent revealing opportunity for the students who want to pursue their future in these creative fields.

  • Vocal Point - Acapella

    Vocal Point - Acapella

    Time limit: 6 minutes (2 mins stage setup + 4 mins performance)

    Rules & Regulations:

    • It is a group event.
    • Online registrations preferred. On spot registrations subject to availability.
    • One team per college.
    • A team can consist upto 15 participants.
    • Microphones will be provided on stage.
    • Usage of any instruments will lead to disqualification.
    • Vulgarity of any sort will lead to immediate disqualification.
    • Judges' decision will be final and binding.

    Rules & Regulations:

    • Only 8 – 12 participants per team will be allowed
    • Maximum 1 team per college
    • Any sort of vulgarity in the outfits or unethical behaviour on stage will be immediately disqualified
    • Only shortlisted participants will be called for the final question and answer round.
    • Participants are requested to give their labelled pen drive with MP3 file at the registration desk and carry an extra copy with them. It is responsibility of the team to make sure the music is edited as per need as well as is a reliable working file.
    • Teams who do not follow the theme will get marks deducted
    • Props that litter the stage or inflammable will not be allowed.
    • A write up of the theme and team members list has to be mailed to miraki@icat.ac.in on or before 17th February 2018

    • Video must be of 20-30 Seconds duration and should have at least 4 dialogues.
    • The videos should be posted on the Miraki Facebook page’s wall.
    • The links to the videos should be shared on social media to gather likes as it will be a critical criteria to judge the videos.

    • The video must not contain any vulgar / unparlimentary words

    Rules & Regulations:

    • Entries should not exceed 1 minute in duration including all titles and credits.
    • Only short films completed after 1st January 2017 are eligible for entry into the MASF 2018 competitions.
    • Animation short films can be in any medium such as 2D, 3D or Stop motion Animation.
    • Animation short Films previously entered into and screened at other festivals are not eligible.
    • If the film is in any language other than English, then it must have hard coded English subtitles.
    • All submissions are screened and evaluated by the MASF Preview and Selection Committees, appointed by the Miraki steering committee.
    • The submission of a film to MASF will be considered to be an acknowledgement of the Miraki rules.
    • Entrants should UPLOAD their film in codec (H.264) in FULL HD (1920*1080) resolution in their google drive and share to miraki@icat.ac.in, from the day of entry to deadline (January 17 to February 17, 2018).
      • Folder name should be the 'film name'
      • Word file containing Title, Synopsis, Director Name, College Name, Department and Year of Study
      • 3 Snap Shots of the Film
    • Would like to ensure that the judge will view your film after reading the synopsis.

    • Entries should not exceed 5 minutes in duration including all titles and credits.
    • Only short films completed after 1st January 2017 are eligible for entry into the MSFC 2018 competitions.
    • Films previously entered into and screened at other festivals are not eligible.
    • If the film is not in English, then it must have hard coded English subtitles.
    • MSFC reserves the right to refuse to screen any submission deemed by the Miraki Cultural Show to be inappropriate.
    • All submissions are screened and evaluated by the MSFC Preview and Selection Committees, appointed by the Miraki steering committee.
    • The submission of a film to MSFC will be considered to be an acknowledgement of the Miraki rules.

    • The competition is open only to all students from reputed college/institute.
    • The participant(s) must be registered online prior before submission of their poster entry.
    • Student registrant(s) may only submit or be a participant on one poster.
    • All posters must be original work, prepared by the applicant(s) and not previously presented at any other competition.
    • 'Miraki 2018' main theme will be 'FANTASY' for this year and this concept must be emphasized or reflected in the poster.
    • There is no limitation on how many colors can be used on the poster.
    • Entrants should submit the final poster in .jpg and .pdf formats and submission only through online.
    • The winners will be announced on the day of 'Miraki 2018' event.
    • All submissions will be evaluated and selected by the 'Miraki 2018' design committee head and the team.
