1 Year Full time Course Overview
This course focuses on the study of the science and technology involved in the development of PC based computer games. Prior programming knowledge in C++ is assumed. Starting with a review of object-oriented programming, Mathematics and Physics the students are provided as strong underpinning knowledge for developing games. The course focuses on graphic programming using Direct X, along with an introduction to a variety of software technologies relevant to game development including Game engines, Input devices, Networking, Simulation engines, Game Effects, Sound and Artificial Intelligence. The final group project will require the students to implement sections of a game and thus contribute to the completion of a complete game scenario..
