Semester - I
  • Language Practical (Tamil / Hindi / French) - I
  • Language Practical - English-I –Prose and Communication Skills
  • This module introduces students to communicate through a visual form. It teaches students to visually put down their ideas with knowledge on design methodology and its relevance to art

  • This design module is an extensive hands-on foundation module aimed to stimulate the students’ creativity and imagination

  • This is a practical module that enables students to use the tools and techniques of industry-standard software for colouring, restoring, retouching, cropping and resizing images

  • Students here get a practical understanding of graphic design styles. They get to demonstrate their creative problem solving abilities through class assignments.

Semester - II
  • Language Practical (Tamil / Hindi / French) - II
  • Language Practical - English-II – Prose, Extensive Reading and Communications Skills
  • The Web Designing module begins with an introduction to design concepts for Web, including colour theory, typography, composition and layout as applicable to Web designing.

  • This module acts as a supplement for the “Web Designing” module by exploring through the fundamental principles, techniques and application of camera-based image making

  • Web Designing (Practical)
  • This Foundation Studies module acts as a prerequisite for the “Interactive Animation Techniques” and “2D Animation” modules by training students in Figure Drawing, Cartooning and Storyboarding on the paper, thus providing a strong foundation on concepts of character creation and animation

  • Environmental Studies
Semester - III
  • Language Practical – English - III - Communicative Skills
  • The module is practice-oriented and trains students in using the digital drawing and colouring tools, using symbols, and performing various methods of animation and masking

  • The module is a prerequisite for the “Non-Linear Editing” module in the next semester and will focus on the steps required to produce a professional-looking film, from initial pitch all the way to a finished film.

  • This module is designed to introduce the basic concepts of classical animation and computer animation by using industry-standard vector software.

Semester - IV
  • Language Practical - English – IV – Employability Skills
  • Building on the basic knowledge acquired in the “Digital Photography” and “Image Editing” modules, this module exposes students to professional digital video / audio editing techniques

  • This module is a unique one with a goal to teach students a whole new way of looking at the world to prepare themselves for a future in Modelling and Animation.

  • Non Linear Editing (Practical)
  • The 3D Design module enables students to gain thorough knowledge on fundamental 3D concepts like Modelling, Texturing, Lighting,Animation and Rendering by using industry-standard 3D application

  • Value Education
Semester - V
  • The students here are introduced to compositing techniques that enable them to combine elements like 3D objects, shapes, text, still images, sounds and live footages into a well composed and unified video output by using industry-standard software.

  • The module trains students to develop all kinds of real world effects like fluid effects, fire, smoke, dust, blast etc that are otherwise difficult to create by using traditional keyframe animation
