ICAT Chennai’s “spook” takular Halloween Celebration 2015
ICAT Chennai celebrated Halloween with great zest on Friday - the 30th of October, 2015 at its campus. The event was organized by the students of the Department of Media. The event began with a face painting competition followed by talent showcase and cosplay. The students of 2nd year M.Sc. Multimedia were adjudged the winners of the face painting competition. The “created” a zombie and innovatively used everyday material to intensify the horror effects. A 2nd year student of B.Sc. MDT – Mahabharthi carved a pumpkin, to make a beautiful jack-o-lantern.
Many students sang, danced and performed skits. The evening came to a close with a wonderful showcase of costumes by the students. As the Grim Reapers, Zombies, Vampires and Ghouls took the center stage, three best costume awards was given on the basis or creativity, realism and innovation. The Most Creative Outfit title was given to Ashitha of P.G.D. Advertising who was dressed as Maleficent, the most Real Outfit title was give to Vignesh of P.G.D. Multimedia Technologies who was dressed at a Swamiji and the most Innovative Outfit title was given to the zombie - Gowtham Raja of 2nd year - M.Sc. Multimedia.
Overall it was a spine chilling evening.
