    As the first step towards TCS placement drive, placement talk was reorganised from icat design and media college. The placement talk was organised to motivate and teach the students about the placements.

    Mr.Sateesh Dindigalla, Associate Consultant - UX Lead at TATA Consultancy Services presided over a pre-placement session at the ICAT Hyderabad.

  • Pre-Placement by HR, of Green Gold Animation Ltd

    To prepare the final year students for placement and their career, a Pre-placement session was presided over by Mr Vishnuvardhan, Creative Supervisor and Ms Ravali, HR, of Green Gold Animation Ltd. The company was introduced to the students and the movies and the showreels were displayed. Ms Ravali clearly explained the recruitment process.

    Mr Vishnuvardhan explained the importance of theoretical knowledge, time management, and problem-solving skills. He insisted on the importance of portfolio, how to create an effective portfolio. He also advised the students to develop their communication skills, design a good resume, develop confidence in doing the work, but not to be overconfident, and have the right attitude.

  • Pre-Placement Session by Mr Shubam, CEO of Magic Lantern

    Mr Shubam, CEO of Magic Lantern, presided over a Preplacement Session to all the final years. He talked about the vision of students, the importance of planning in day-to-day life on their passion, managing time. He gave some useful tips on how to start a company, and what a student can learn by working in a company before starting on their own. Overall it was a very fruitful session.

  • Pre-placement session by Mr Naveen, the CEO of 7 Active Solutions

    For the Pre-placement session, Mr Naveen, the CEO of 7 Active Solutions, shared much useful information to the students about his company, workflow, software, content development for the project. He also gave tips on how to select the right job, explained what are the types of jobs available. He told the students on the importance of demo reel and what the companies expect in a demo reel. The students understood a lot about the industry and also about the significance of being a creative person.

  • Pre-Placement Talk by TCS Interactive

    TCS Interactive,  the largest technology service company in India by revenue and market capitalization conducted a pre-placement talk in ICAT Design and Media College Bangalore on 27th November 2019. 136 students from Final year UG and PG attended the session.

    Mr. Vineet Tripathi: Head, TCS Interactive, Bangalore Center, Mr. Harsha GS: Creative team, TCS Interactive, Mr. Pradeep Kote Lead Campus Recruitment and Mr. Rohit Venkatesh: Lead, Campus Recruitment, Karnataka represented TCS and interacted with the student.

    Their address to the students included a brief description of TCS Interactive, its global presence, operations, technology, work culture and scope and growth provided to the employees.

    Students were very enthusiastic to learn about the company and information gained from the interactive session with the TCS officials. The students also benefited from the  Question Answer Session at the end of the session in which students cleared their doubts about the company's expectations and career growth prospects. This session would gear up our students to prepare themselves for working with TCS in particular and with industry in general.


    The presentation was done by the representative from ECUBE . Today’s presentation was more of a pre- placement talk , the main purpose of the presentation was to create awareness about the company among the students , as they are coming up with internship programs and job offers . The spokesperson gave an introduction about the company and the various verticals that the company has . The company has 4 verticals , which are Exhibitions, Events and Activations , Interior Designing and Extra Edge.

    Under the exhibition vertical they help various companies to participate in exhibitions and showcase their products and services by doing branding for the respective company in that place so that their exhibition cubicle can stand out.

    Under the events and activations vertical , they are involved in organizing various corporate and social event management, they take care of everything starting from the decorations to operations management for that particular event.

    Under the interior designing vertical, they manage designing a particular place along with the elevation , they basically focus of turnkey projects , where they deliver ready to move in residences as well as commercial spaces.

    Extra edge is a program where they use their own software called Edge to provide take home gifts for people , where the gifts can also be customized.

    They also presented about their demands , that they are looking for interns and candidates for their job offers in various field like interior design, event management and sales. They asked the students to submit their portfolios to our respective coordinators , who then will forward it to the HR . and then it will be forwarded to the respective architects in their company , and the selected candidates will be called for a personal meeting and interview to their office .

    The presentation was informative and also opportunistic , which could have been better if the content was more about our respective fields , the details on interior design lacked a little clarity , but over all this could a good opportunity for the students.

  • Pre-Placement Talk by Netrocon Digital Services @ ICAT, Campus

    Netrocon Digital Services - conducted a pre-placement talk in ICAT Design and Media College, Campus on 8th November 2019. The Final year UG, PG and Msc students from Multimedia, Graphic Design & UI Design and Development departments participated in this meet.

    The session was presided by Mr. Shane Clinton, Head of Digital Services. Followed by Mr. Paul, Head of Operations and Mr. Vishal, Head of Strategy. Starting with introduction & portfolio of the company, the topics ran through the future of digital marketing. The day’s highlight was about the role of Concept writers and Designers.

    Apart from presentation, the session was interactive and made challenging too. Our students were given challenging tasks to be completed within the day and best works were appreciated with internship offerings. Everyone felt the session time was very useful & informative in terms of their future endeavors.

    The session ended up with chat box where the speakers answered the questions asked by the students from various departments.

  • Pre-Placement Training Program for ICAT Students

    Pre-placement training program for the VFX, Visual Media, Multimedia and Animation students of ICAT Design & Medai College, Chennai happened on 31st of January conducted by BOTVFX. The session offered guidance and support throughout the work process from start to finish of VFX production pipeline.

    Mr Manoj the technical trainer for the Visual effects team and Ms Priyanka the HR by evaluating potentially strong points of employment, teaching the students of VFX, Multimedia and 3D animation, how to look for employment, and supporting them once they have secured a job. Ms. Priyanka shared few informative tips about the interview attitude and behavioral skills, as in what the digital post production companies would expect from a fresher stepping into the industry for the first time; transformation from a student to an employee. Adding on to the HR tips, Mr. Manoj discussed about the technical skills in developing the shore, and the process initiated in the training period. All of discussion are geared towards building self-confidence, creating opportunities for personal growth, and fostering independence.

    They gave a brief introduction on BOTVFX and their evolution into the VFX industry. They also shared a video about the company’s social culture and training programs that are happening throughout the year, which also included the free internship training program. The whole presentation was in a creative video format. The guests graciously clarified all the doubts of the fresher students and made the session very interactive.

  • Pre-Placement Training by CommLab India@ ICAT Hyderabad

    Placement Cell of ICAT, Hyderabad conducted a Pre-Placement Training session to prepare students for their placements which will start in a few months. Ms. Deepika, Manager HR, CommLab India, and Mr. Asim Ahmed, Director HR, CommLab India addressed all the final year students on how to be ready for the industry and for the profession. They discussed interview skills, what are the expectations of the companies and of the freshers, how to choose a company and a job, what to look for, how to analyze oneself to understand their skills and how to be a professional.

    They gave a brief introduction to CommLabs India and the working culture of the company. As CommLab India is an E-Learning based company, they shared some knowledge on the job roles - Instructional Design and Elearning Courseware design.

    And the speakers clarified doubts regarding career and regarding the preparation process. Overall, it was a wonderful session, and a great way to kickstart the placement process.
