ICAT Animation Students Rewarded by UNIBIC

Animation students of ICAT developed and contributed creative promotional videos towards UNIBIC Cookies’ Social Media Animation Campaign and won rewards for their creative presentation of the products.

As a part of the social media product promotion initiative, UNIBIC had called for animation video entries from ICAT students. Animation students of II UG, III UG and PG Diploma enthusiastically involved themselves in the assignment and submitted seven animated clips on different themes given by UNIBIC.

The seven entries were evaluated by the jury at UNIBIC, based on the criteria, such as storyline, quality of animation, product placement and relevance to the brand. The jury selected the following two entries to use for their social media publicity and awarded gift vouchers worth Rs. 3500 and Rs. 2500 respectively, along with ‘Certificate of Appreciation’.

Student Reviews

"This project was to introduce the unique flavors of UNIBIC products like Chilly Butter, Jeera Butter, Cashew Butter and Badam Butter. I took the common ingredient, butter and presented it by using Experimental animation, so that it will represent the desi taste of India. In order to make it more appealing, I chose the medium of 2D, live action and stop motion where I used real ingredients and 2D paper cutout. This project really helped in learning the nuances of working for a real brand and responding to critiques in a timely and professional manner." Mirch Masala – Dikshita Das, III UG Animation

"In this project, I showed how milk and cookies can be the best partners as healthy food for both children and adults. To convey my idea better, I chose the medium of live action stop motion because this way I thought it would be easy to communicate my idea using real milk and cookies. I am glad that the client liked the output and this reward is a real motivation for my future endeavors." Milk and Cookies – Rajdeep Mandal, III UG Animation

All the other participants were also given ‘Certificate of Participation’ and valuable feedback.

The two selected animation videos will soon be published on the social media pages of UNIBIC.

Kudos to all participants!
