The Learning Curve

Semester - I
  • Language Practical (Tamil / Hindi / French) - I
  • Language Practical - English-I –Prose and Communication Skills
  • As a foundation for the course, the semester 1 starts with developing the students’ ability to communicate and express their ideas through visual mediums. The students here get their introduction to different forms of communication and they develop their competence in using research methodologies

  • As art is the foundation for any creative study, this module teaches the fundamentals of art and design. It dwells in to elements and principles of design, colour psychology, typography, line drawing, perspective drawing etc that will be helpful in understanding the different art and design forms taught further in this course.

  • Implementing the knowledge gained in the “Art and Design Study” module in creating communicative graphic designs is the focus of this module

  • This is the module that helps students to previsualize a concept based on the client and user needs and then sketch down the visualized ideas to convey their imagination.

Semester - II
  • Language Practical (Tamil / Hindi / French) - II
  • Language Practical - English-II – Prose, Extensive Reading and Communications Skills
  • This module helps students to grow as a Executive Producer of a television show and also to get an opportunity in post-production department

  • This module guides students through the entire process of preparing a proposal for a television series and pitching the proposal to television channels and production companies

  • Students here will learn everything they need to know to master the art and craft of digital photography. They get acquainted with the basic features of digital cameras and learn how each feature plays a role in creating great photographs.

  • Environmental Studies
Semester - III
  • Language Practical – English - III - Communicative Skills
  • The module throws light on the history of filmmaking and principles of filmmaking that makes students skilled to come up with quality films.

  • The Advertising & PR module discusses about Integrated Marketing Communication, Consumer Behaviour, Market Segmentation and Research, Corporate Communication, Public Relations, Brand Management and Media Management.

  • This module provides an understanding of marketing research and its role in analyzing consumers, markets and the environment.

  • This module guides the students to handle the techniques involved in creating motion graphics by using the After Effects software.

  • This module focuses on the technique of visualizing how a story should be portrayed in a video. The students here learn to create a storyboard that shows thumbnails of each scene along with technical details like, camera angle etc to help every crew member to carry on the production process successfully.

Semester - IV
  • Language Practical - English – IV – Employability Skills
  • Students here develop their technical skills in audio and video editing by using specialist digital tools. They will learn the post-production workflow and the important editing techniques to structure the flow of a story, and to create Montage Cuts, Promos and Teasers

  • This module teaches the basic techniques of audio and video production. Students gain experience in digital videography, shot composition and audio recording.

Semester - V
  • This Project Management module teaches people management skills in order to complete a production project from pitching to final output

  • Students here get to learn how to create corporate presentations and videos that provide a complete overview of an organization or a department.
