15th Graduation Showcase 2025 of ICAT College of Design & Media, Bangalore

The ICAT College of Design and Media, Bengaluru, hosted its 15th Graduate Showcase at Mantri Square Mall, presenting an impressive display of student talent in design, animation, VFX, media, and game development. Held in a public space, the event drew attention from industry professionals, recruiters, and the public, making it a standout moment for the graduating batch.

Words of Encouragement

The event was inaugurated by Mr. Kumar, CEO of Image Group of Educational Institutions, Dean Ms. Lakshmi Kumar, Mr. B.N. Vichar, Art Director at Technicolor Games, and Ms. SMT Siri Gowri D.R., Deputy Commissioner of Police.

Following the inauguration, Mr. Kumar emphasized the distinction between talent and passion, stating, "Talent and passion are different. You get a job because of your talent, not just your passion," encouraging students to focus on developing their skills.

Mr. B.N. Vichar appreciated ICAT's efforts in creating a strong platform for emerging talent. He reflected on how, during his own student years, there were no dedicated institutes offering such creative programs. Adding to the inspiration, Ms. Siri Gowri D.R., IPS, encouraged students to not only pursue their passion but also contribute meaningfully to society. She remarked, "Whatever you can do, you should give something in return to your society," highlighting the importance of social responsibility alongside creative excellence.

The Students Showcase

The showcase featured a diverse range of student projects across various disciplines, such as cutting-edge animation and immersive game designs, to striking fashion collections and visual effects demonstrations. The public venue enabled meaningful engagement, allowing students to connect directly with potential employers, industry guests, and the general public. It set the tone for a day filled with interactions and networking.

Awards & Placements

The evening award ceremony was led by Ms. Seema Vasanth, actor, and Ms. Ashu Gowda, fashion designer. They presented recognitions to departments for Best Stall and honored the team that earned the title of Best Department of the Year, applauding the creative efforts and collaborative spirit of the students.
